Meet the Founder β Eli
Semi-professional footballer and youth development coach from London.
First Touch Academy USA was founded by Eli with one clear mission: to develop confident, intelligent, and technically strong football players who truly understand and enjoy the game. Eli began his coaching journey in Wimbledon, London, where he successfully developed and mentored players of all levels from complete beginners to advanced competitive athletes. His passion has always been centered on helping players grow not just in ability, but in confidence, discipline, and mindset. His coaching philosophy is rooted in a possession-based, high-tempo βtiki-takaβ style of play. Every player, whether attacker or defender, is taught to feel comfortable on the ball, make intelligent decisions, and enjoy the fundamentals of football. A core part of Eliβs approach is βtough loveβ coaching building resilience, mental strength, and accountability. He believes that true player development comes from pushing individuals to reach their full potential rather than simply protecting them from challenges. At the heart of First Touch Academy is the academyβs guiding ethos: Players first develop technical skill, then learn perseverance through hard work and consistency, and finally build the confidence to deliver when it matters most. Now expanding into the United States, Eli brings the same proven development system and passion for player growth to a new generation of athletes. For Eli, the greatest reward is seeing players improve, gain confidence, and unlock their full potential both on and off the field.
First Touch Academy was originally founded in Wimbledon, London, one of the most respected and established areas for youth football development in the United Kingdom. The academy was built on a philosophy focused on technical excellence, confidence on the ball, and intelligent decision-making. After successfully developing players in London, First Touch Academy is now expanding internationally, bringing its European training methodology to young players in the United States.
